Each Customer’s Success is Our Goal.
DG Technologies works with all types of customers. Automotive, heavy-duty truck and bus, military, industrial control, robotics, mass transportation, agriculture, construction, aerospace and telemetry are just a start. These customers hold all types of roles. They need professional-grade tools, deep expertise from consultants and a force multiplier in managed services.
We deliver complete solutions for test, production and network development engineers. Embedded systems, electronic control unit and electromagnetic compatibility/electromagnetic interference compliance test engineers rely on our tools and services. We also support independent shop and automotive service technicians, vehicle security professionals, locksmiths, end-of-line test engineers and heavy-duty fleet technicians.
Federal and state agencies like the U.S. Army and the Virginia Department of Transportation rely on this expertise. So do the departments of transportation from Texas and Ohio, and transit authorities like the Delaware Authority for Regional Transit. Original equipment manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers, like General Motors, Mack Trucks, Volvo and Detroit Diesel, build on it, too, as do commercial fleets, independent repair shops and partners like AirPro and CNH Industrial.
Here are some stories of their success.

Driving Highway Fleet Excellence: How VDOT Modernized Operations Across 42 District Shops
The Virginia Department of Transportation manages a fleet of more than 700 vehicles statewide. The department struggled with outdated diagnostic equipment, inconsistent vendor support and rising operational costs. Extended downtime and poor communication hindered technician productivity and strained public works resources across the state. VDOT needed a dependable, long-term partner to modernize its fleet management approach and lower expenses.
DG Technologies stepped in with a customized solution, delivering 84 diagnostic laptop kits, distributed across 42 district shops, for use by 250 technicians. Equipped with 28 OEM diagnostic programs, they received hands-on training for technicians, certification programs and a dedicated customer portal. This comprehensive ecosystem allowed VDOT to maintain its existing hardware while dramatically streamlining its overall diagnostic process.
VDOT’s partnership with DG drastically reduced vehicle downtime and prevented costly repairs through proactive maintenance strategies. Technicians gained independence and technical proficiency, significantly cutting turnaround times for critical repairs. First partnered in 2013, VDOT has continuously renewed its relationship with DG Technologies through 2030, ensuring a future-ready fleet as they integrate electric and hybrid buses.
Elevating Automotive Diagnostics: How AirPro Powered the Orion Platform with the VSI NxGen PLUS
AirPro Diagnostics recognized that collision repair shops needed highly reliable hardware for complex vehicle scanning and pass-thru ECU information. The company wanted to elevate ORION, its cloud-based diagnostic management platform, to better support technicians handling advanced vehicle safety and electronic systems. To achieve this, AirPro sought a trusted hardware partner capable of seamlessly integrating top-tier diagnostic performance into its unified workflow.
To bridge this technological gap, AirPro Diagnostics partnered with DG Technologies to conduct a comprehensive needs analysis. This deep-dive evaluation identified DG’s VSI NxGen PLUS series—an advanced SAE J2534 pass-thru device—as the perfect hardware match for the ORION platform. Delivering seamless Diagnostics over Internet Protocol and CAN FD compatibility, the VSI NxGen PLUS unlocked secure, OEM-level ECU programming capabilities for AirPro’s remote brand specialists.
The partnership with DG Technologies successfully empowered AirPro to deliver a flawless, high-speed diagnostic experience directly to the shop floor. By uniting ORION’s real-time job tracking with the VSI NxGen PLUS’s secure vehicle connectivity, collision centers can now execute precise pre- and post-repair scans with complete confidence. This integration has reduced calibration errors, optimized shop efficiency and solidified AirPro’s reputation as a trusted leader in automotive repair.

Revitalizing Regional Transit: How DART Restored Public Trust and Reduced Downtime
Operating a fleet of 246 fixed-route buses and more than 100 paratransit vehicles, the Delaware Authority for Regional Transit faced severe operational challenges in 2021. Frequent vehicle breakdowns, delayed vendor repairs and skyrocketing costs led to overcrowded buses, service disruptions and public frustration. DART urgently required a unified diagnostic strategy to stabilize its statewide garage network and rebuild community trust.
DG Technologies stepped in with a tailored partnership, delivering custom electronic diagnostic tools designed specifically for DART’s complex, multi-fuel fleet. These diagnostic kits seamlessly supported diesel, hybrid-electric, compressed natural gas and battery-powered buses from manufacturers like Gillig, Proterra, Motor Coach Industries and Ford. To guarantee continuous uptime, DG Technologies backed the hardware with comprehensive software warranties, call center support and specialized technician training.
The collaboration rapidly turned operations around by reducing vehicle downtime and extending the lifespan of critical fleet components. Boosted fuel efficiency and lower repair costs drove substantial overall savings while eliminating unexpected breakdown expenses. Most importantly, fast diagnostic turnaround times restored reliable transit services, rebuilding public confidence across the Wilmington community.
One Tool to Command Them All: Streamlining Mission-Critical Diagnostics for the U.S. Army MRAP Fleet
The U.S. Army’s Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle fleet required an extraordinary collection of OEM software programs and diagnostic adapters to monitor critical engine, transmission and braking systems. Managing multiple disjointed diagnostic tools added heavy bulk, high financial costs and operational complexity for technicians deployed in the field. To maintain high mission readiness, the military needed a single, lightweight, “one-tool” service solution to support all vehicle variants.
DG Technologies answered the challenge. Our team engineered and delivered more than 600 integrated MRAP Vehicle Diagnostic Kits built around our high-speed Dearborn Protocol Adapter (DPA). Additionally paired with hardened laptops, DG Technologies created a single-installation DVD containing more than 10 OEM software programs alongside a custom password database application. DG also established a dedicated Diagnostic Suite Service Center to provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support, software updates and annual training.
By replacing bulky, redundant hardware with a single universal adapter, DG Technologies successfully minimized kit weight and overall maintenance costs. The streamlined diagnostic suite eliminated operational uncertainty across various MRAP model variants from manufacturers like BAE Systems, General Dynamics Land Systems and Oshkosh Corporation. Executed across multiple defense contracts since 2008, this partnership significantly improved vehicle readiness and simplified field diagnostics for soldiers worldwide.
